HP TouchPad is out of touch with buyers

After a few short weeks collecting dust on stores shelves HP decided to pull the plug on its boldest strategic endeavour: tablet computer with proprietary operating system build on acquired Palm webOS. HP shocked the technology world by buyer dead Palm hoping it would rise from the dead. Alas, the world could not sustain continued operating systems fragmentation, something HP should have realized. An imported executives from Apple do not guarantee success. The key to any platform success is software (or apps). Without vibrant and excited developer community consumers will see little value in the platform.

There is still one more dead man walking left: RIM. There are fools left desperate enough to buy, see my other blog article on the subject.

Please write this down. There will be three operating systems standing in the end: iOS, Windows and Android in year 2013.
