As I previously wrote Google Wallet has scalability issues as I described here back in May. Now WSJ reports that the largest telecom operator in the US, Verizon is blocking Google Wallet siting security concerns. Of course, Verizon is developing own mobile payment as well in alliance with other carriers.
Besides the scalability, now the growth is impeded by security of its ecosystem as also was described before. Other players in emerging mobile ecosystem value security. We'll see how soon Google will realize it is an important rule to obey.
